Today, I enjoy my art like never before; I am relaxed in an atmosphere of no time no space only one in time ever present ever absent it takes me to places that reveal no plan no explanation no matter the weather. A place of peace and content. I do not plan my work nor expect kudos only enjoyment and joy upon surprise of successful completion to my satisfaction. Often seeing the unexpected where the expected has not to be explained.
Abstract Impressionistic painting seems to be my comfort zone.

Penny Strong was born on the South Shore of Long Island. She is a snow bird during the winter months in Sarasota Florida. Getting ready to retire, she started painting and taking critique classes with Compass Critique. Penny is a self taught artist enjoying the expressions oils, acrylics and watercolor present. She has done several art shows in Florida and is a member artist at The Firefly Gallery in downtown Northport, NY, as well as Creative Liberties Gallery in Sarasota, FL.

Currently, her work in abstract expressionism has brought attention to her ability to have the viewer sense movement in her work relative to water scenes and water environments as well as it's creatures. Her ability to change the stiff style and have a relaxed brush, keeping a thought towards what people feel and see. Penny uses color to bring the painting forward.

Over the 20 years of painting she has developed a trust with her work; a partnership, a development, a building block. She's constantly developing heartfelt images that bring viewers in as a participating spectator of color and form.
